"Vicky, we love what you do, so we just trust you to do your creative thing and make us beautiful flowers"

So part 2 of our end to end Wedding Journey, what exactly happens after i've sent a quote?
Within an hour of you leaving our initial meeting, you'll receive two emails, one with your quote/Pinterest board of flower suggestions and the other with some Terms & Conditions for you to sign. If you like me and my ideas and wish to book me, all I need is for you to pay the booking fee and sign the T&Cs to secure the date. As the flowers are an integral part of a couple's big day, I don't stretch myself too thin or take on too much work, so I'm able to give my full attention to this hugely important day in your life.
I'd recommend to any couple that you book the wedding suppliers you want as far in advance of the big day as possible. Trust me, you'll regret it if they get booked up and you have to settle for second best! I currently have bookings over two years in advance. This may seem a little extreme but it's better to be safe than sorry. I'd say on average, people will book up about a year before their wedding day.
A month before the wedding, I'll invite you back in for a final consultation. During that meeting, I aim to put your mind at ease by making sure that we both know exactly what you're having and what's happening on the day. We'll go through your flower choices and I'll make sure you're still happy with them. I'll check you're still happy with any table centres, check numbers of buttonholes etc. and we'll come up with a plan for delivering and setting up on the big day itself too.
The final consultation is about a month before the day because by this time the final plans for the wedding are normally falling into place for you in terms of timings, guest numbers and the practicalities of the day. A month also gives me plenty of time to make sure any flowers, hire items and other materials are available for the day.
Stay tuned for part 3 - the final installment of A Wedding Journey - Today's The Day!
