So, this was my first wedding based job since lockdown. I hadn't created beautiful wedding flowers since the end of April when I had my first and only wedding of 2021 so far at South Causey Inn - Old Barn. I've missed it so much!
But now it's safe to do so, Hey Chris Randle Photography set about organising an amazing shoot up at Ellingham Hall in Northumberland and he asked me to be part of it!
I have to say, it was hard work as my body just isn't used to it over the last few months, but I loved every minute of it! I loved creating again, I loved being around my fellow wedding suppliers again and being in this stunning venue! I definitely got that creative buzz when I saw everything come together on the day.
We shot a beautiful ceremony set up in the Chapel. With flowers lining the aisle and a gold asymmetric arch in front of the fireplace, it looked stunning! I even included some of my favourites in there, tropical leaves! Painted gold to match the rest of the theme.
Our beautiful model Sophiah Dearden was a pro too. I've worked with her a number of times over the years and she's never failed to impress!
We had 2 dresses from Y.A.P. Bridal in Newcastle, from Rosa Clara and Savin London. Both very different from each other but both equally as pretty and stunning in their different ways!
Currently, lockdown restrictions dictate that Make Up Artists aren't allowed to work, so Sophiah did her own make up. Hairdressers are allowed but because they are allowed, they're all way too busy dealing with all their normal clients who have had to do without haircuts! So Sophiah did her own hair too.
We then moved through to the staircase, which I LOVE creating sweeping, dramatic , beautiful floral decoration for.
The whole shoot just pulled together so well, even when the resident Peacock photobombed us! It was great to be back!
If you're marrying at Ellingham or just love the look of these flowers for your own wedding elsewhere in the region, then CLICK HERE to get in touch. I'd love to hear from you!
So here are a few of my own behind the scenes images taken with my phone, as well as Chris's professional images (which are obviously far superior quality to mine!)
